Women play #gendercard in solidarity with Wendy Davis

Scores of women have participated in an online conversation about gender roles and double standards after a journalist asked Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis if she plans on playing the "gender card" in the race.

The question came from Texas Tribune Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith during a live interview Thursday, and quickly inspired the hashtag #gendercard.
