Disaster looms as California's largest inland sea disappears

The Salton Sea, California’s largest inland body of water, is disappearing and leaving a large, toxic dustbowl in its place that could cause a public health crisis. Already, nearby communities are experiencing alarming rates of asthma, and children are the most vulnerable. Experts warn that if officials don’t act soon, the consequences could become much worse.
